Overview Memo AI for Vault (the “App”) turns quick notes into structured Markdown files and saves them to a Vault folder that you select through iOS Files. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used.

Information the App handles The App may handle: • Memo text and note content that you enter. • App settings, including your selected Vault folder and AI provider preferences. • An API key that you provide for OpenAI or Anthropic Claude. • Task details when you choose to create an Apple Reminder. • Purchase status supplied by Apple for the Lifetime Unlock in-app purchase.

How information is used The App uses this information only to provide features that you request: structuring a memo with AI, saving Markdown files, creating reminders, scheduling local notifications, restoring purchase access, and maintaining your settings.

AI processing AI processing is optional and occurs only when you ask the App to process a memo. The memo text needed for that request is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you selected, either OpenAI or Anthropic Claude, using the API key you supplied. The App developer does not operate an intermediary server for this processing and does not receive or store your memo text or API key.

Your use of an AI provider is also subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices. The provider may process or retain request data according to its own policies and your account settings. AI provider usage fees, if any, are charged by that provider and are separate from the App’s in-app purchase.

On-device storage and security App settings are stored locally on your device. API keys are stored using iOS secure storage. The App does not require an account and does not operate its own cloud database for notes or API keys.

Vault and Files access Structured notes are saved as Markdown files in the Vault folder you select through iOS Files. The App accesses that folder only to provide file-saving and Vault-management features you initiate. Files stored in iCloud Drive or another file provider are governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

Reminders and notifications With your permission, the App can add detected tasks to Apple Reminders. It can also schedule local notifications for reminder alarms and weekly review alerts. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Reminder and notification data is handled on your device and by Apple services you have enabled.

Purchases Lifetime Unlock purchases and restorations are processed by Apple. The App receives purchase entitlement information needed to unlock features but does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to App Store transactions.

Analytics, advertising, tracking, and sale of data The App does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell or rent personal data.

Data retention and deletion Notes remain in the Vault folder you selected until you delete them. Settings and API keys remain on your device until you remove them, reset them in the App, or uninstall the App, subject to iOS backup behavior. You can delete Markdown files with the Files app or your chosen file provider, remove reminders in Apple Reminders, disable notifications in iOS Settings, and revoke or replace an AI API key through the relevant provider and the App’s settings.

Data sharing The App shares data only as needed to perform an action you request: memo text with your selected AI provider, files with your selected file-storage provider, reminder data with Apple Reminders, and purchase requests with Apple. The developer does not otherwise disclose your data, except if required by law.

Children’s privacy The App is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International processing If you use an AI or file-storage provider, that provider may process information in countries other than your own under its applicable privacy terms.

Changes to this policy This policy may be updated when the App or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
